It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude Muddiman of Manassas, Virginia, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on October 29, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bryan and Mary Belle Childress (McGlothlin); her daughter Judith Betty Harris; and her siblings, Reves, Benson, John Childress, Arbutus Childress, Fayrene Clayborn, Joan Sue Childress and Dian Blair.

She is survived by: her husband James B. Muddiman; her children, Beverly June Muddiman (Bob) of Hayward, CA and James Roger Muddiman; her grandchildren, Charles Denis Harris, Robert Gallegos Jr., Yvonne Gallegos, Karen Gallegos, Janell Sarmento and Wesley Gallegos; and her siblings, Robert E. Childress (Lorane) of Front Royal, Donald R. Childress (Joyce) of Sebring, FL, Zed L. Childress (Rebekah) of Gainesville and Madilee C. Wnek of Manassas. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.

For the viewings, funeral, and graveside service, the funeral home is requiring masks and encouraging social distancing.
