She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Gallardo and Sharon Gallardo; and her brother Brett Ferguson. She is survived by: her husband Eric Ayala; her children, Alan A. Rodriguez (Jocelyn), Amanda R. Escobar (Anibal "Tony") and Clara E. Cox (Robert); her sister Heidi Phipps; and her grandchildren, Nathan Escobar, Khloe Escobar, Marcus Cox, Mariah Cox, Malik Cox and Leilani Rodriguez.
