He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Elizabeth Owens (Edwards); his stepfather Mason "Pete" Owens; and his grandson James Scott Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Joan G. Edwards (Gregg); his children, James Dwayne Edwards (Kate), Debbie Hedden (Thomas) and Anissa Crump; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Edwards, Tiffany Purks (Tyler), Lyndsay Almarode (Nathan) and Renee Crumpsmith (Gabriel); his great grandchildren, Colson Almarode, Ellie Purks and Camdyn Almarode; and his siblings, Sharon, Donny, John, Ricky and Dora. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
