He was loved and cherished by many people including: his birth mother Mary Ann Murphy; his stepparents, Evelyn Shumaker and Robert Shumaker; his siblings, John Williams, Charles Williams, Kevin Williams and Jean Gindorff; his brother-in-law Jean Gindorff Jr.; his grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Shumaker; his wife Mona Shumaker; and his sons, Scott Shumaker and Marshall Shumaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Capital Caring Health, the hospice workers who cared for him.
