He is survived by: his wife Diana Kim; his son Victor Kim; his parents, Segeun Kim and Sinhun Jeong; his sister Nahyeon Kim; Nina.
Their wedding plans in Kyiv were delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic and later disrupted by war, but they ultimately built their life together in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations supporting research into pediatric and neurodegenerative diseases.
