He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lewis and Virginia Lewis; his son Melvin Lewis, Jr.; and his sister Barbara Dunn. He is survived by: his daughters, Constance McCrimmon, Nicole Lewis, Crystal Lewis-Pettiford and Moniquie Lewis (family: Valerie Johnson, Jamel, Jajuan, Jaren); his grandson Jaden Vance; his brother Herbert Lewis; his brother-in-law Matthew Dunn; and his nephew Anthony Dunn. He is also survived by friend: Ms. "Smitty", numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
