She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Vincent Hugh Alvord and Elizabeth Jane Alvord (Naginey); her great-grandparent Benjamin Alvord; her grandchildren, Olivia, Camille and Simone; her husband Thomas Craig Baker; her children, Laurie Elizabeth Ashton, Olivia, Camille, Simone and Joshua Ellis Baker (Katherine Evaleen Connors); her granddaughter Cecilia; and her brother Stephen Edward Alvord. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In the post-COVID19 world, the family plans to invite friends and family to a private memorial.

In lieu of flowers the Bakers encourage donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, UVA Memory Care Clinic or Vitas Hospice and specifically wish to thank the doctors, nurses, staff at UVA and Vitas for their excellent care and comfort.
