She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert D. MacDonald and Jean S. MacDonald; and her brother Robert D. (Bob). She is survived by: her sibling's children, Steven MacDonald (Lynn MacDonald), Susan Harisch (Matt Harisch) and Kristen Gates (Howie Gates).
She moved to Virginia in 2020 during the COVID crisis to be closer to family as her health declined.
