He was predeceased by: his parents, Starling Benton and John Thomas Henry Hawl; and his sisters, Sally Hawl and Janene Ballenge. He is survived by: his wife Minnie Louise Hawl; his children, Theresa Conner (Brian), Wesley Hawl (Maria) and Debbie Gamboa (Tomas); his grandchildren, Christina Gerhard, David Gerhard, Victoria Gerhard and Brandon Gamboa; his great grandchildren, Keyshawn Morgan, Catrina Morgan, Kiley Morgan, Camden Morgan, Estrella Gomez-Gerhard, Jazmine Gomez-Gerhard, Andrew Gerhard and Savaya Gerhard; and his sister Barbara Gutkind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made in Pete's name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
