He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howell and Eunice Howell; his wife Thelma Cowling; his son Walter K Howell; and his grandchildren, Taura and Stephen Howell.
He is survived by: his children, Linda D Latorre of La Plata, MD and Anthony Howell (Sandra) of Manassas Va; his grandchildren, Michelle Cox (Reginald), Kristi Latorre, Lorenzo Sanchez, Devin Howell and Isaiah Howell; and his great grandchildren, Sharnette Howell, Kayla Moultrie and Leo Sanchez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
