She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Thorpe and Vernie Thorpe; her pets, Sassy and Holly; and her siblings, Edward Thorpe, Cornelius Thorpe, Robert Thorpe, Powell Thorpe and Dorothy Buel.
She is survived by: her husband Lewis D. Bowman; her son Lewis Matthew Bowman (Julie); her grandsons, Vincent and Evan Bowman; her siblings, Matilda Posey, Judith Broyhill (Mike), Debra Wilkinson (Charlie) and Aubrey Thorpe (Wanda); and her sister-in-law Virginia Thorpe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Wanda's name to the Lupus Foundation of American to help fight the disease.
