He was predeceased by: his parents, Argil James Bartee, Sr. and Emma Jean Murray Bartee; and his grandmother Virginia Hensley Philippi. He is survived by: his sister Ramona "Mona" Bartee; his niece Jaimie Van Antwerp; his stepdaughter Amanda Pugh Wheeler; and his close friend Carole Pugh.
