He is survived by : his wife Patricia Russell Fowler; his children, Mack Fowler (April), Teresa Malobisky and James "Jim Bob" Fowler; his brother Joe David Fowler; his grandchildren, Kathy Fowler and Zachary Fowler; his great grandchild Jake Fowler; his stepgranddaughters, Bella and Olivia Faulise; his cousin Emillee Russell; and his friend Laura Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and cousins, and his church family.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church (442 Freedom Tabernacle Ln, Atkins, VA 24311). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
