He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy M. Greer; his parents, Curtis Greer and Pauline Greer; and his great grandchild Michael Hawkins. He is survived by: his children, Lesa Burkett (Steve), Kim Fry (Eddie), Alan Greer (Amanda) and Chad Greer (Debbie); his siblings, Mildred Martin and Bill Greer; his grandchildren, Jason, Kelsey, Brooklyn, Breanna, Cody, Ashley, Brianna, Ellie, Tanner, Shane, Gage, Dakota, Colton, Katie, Timothy, Chasity and Bryan; his great grandchildren, Jason, Charlee, Easton, Leighton, Weston, Carter, Lucas, Cole, Peyton, Madilyn, Macey, Malydia and Wyatt; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby McIntyre and Kenneth McIntyre. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, his church family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Russell's Chapel Church (1397 Scratch Gravel Rd, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Thomas Cemetery.
