He was predeceased by: his parents, Appollis Ellis and Lucy Nichols Ellis; and his siblings, Peggy Ellis, Margaret Carter, Josie Ellis Call, Belinda Ellis, Bonnie Ellis Brigman, Dewey Ellis and Curtis Ellis.
He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Poston (Johnny); his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Britney and Caleb; and his siblings, Malcolm Ellis, Revonda Roop and Kathy Davidson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
