Edith Marie Phipps Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Marie Phipps of Marion, Virginia, who passed away on October 16, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Jim Sanders; her husband John Eldee Phipps (J. E.); and her siblings, Roy Sanders, Willis Sanders and Beatrice Crabtree.
She is survived by: her daughter Vernetta Williams; her grandchildren, James Williams (Diana) of Lothian, MD and Melissa Blevins (Nathaniel) of Chilhowie; her great grandchildren, Justin Williams (Micaela) and Brittany Williams; her great great grandchildren, Vaughn, Solon, Kayleigh and Jesse Williams; her sister Elizabeth Ferguson; and her sister-in-law Betty Buchanan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
