He was predeceased by: his former wife Marilyn Jean Walker; and his parents, Harold Walker and Elsie Pulliam Walker. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Holley (Cox); his children, Beth Farris (Brian) of Marion and Brian Walker (Julie) of Marion; his stepsons, Scott (Pia) and Michael; his cousin Thomas McGhee; and his friend Susan Sneed.
