It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude E. Poston of Marion, Virginia, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, G. G. Evans and Nannie Evans; her husband Daniel Poston; her children, Vincent Poston and Angela Poston; and her siblings, Virginia Poston, Edna Hutton, Charles Evans, Ernest Evans and Archie Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Toby Poston and Gina Schultz; her sister Charity Blevins; her grandchildren, Jeffery Evans, Jr. (Brooke) of Martinsville, Amanda Savage of Martinsville, Zachary Poston (Beverly) of Abingdon and Austin Preston of Marion; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Daniel, Aubrey, Amelia, Ava and Hazley; and her niece Wanda Poston.
