He was predeceased by : his mother Pat Holmes; his grandmother Jean Talbert; his sister Elizabeth Holmes; and his uncle Butch McMillan. He is survived by : his wife Patty McMillan; his children, Brandi Slaughter (Clint), Hunter McMillan (Savannah) and Cheyenne McMillan; his grandchildren, Kylee Slaughter, Addison Slaughter, Magnolia McMillan, Delaney McMillan and Baylor McMillan; his sister Cynthia Pruitt (Jimmy); his uncle Rex McMillan (Penny); his aunts, Sally Howell (Mitchell), Sandra Combs, Jackie Finley and Nancy McMillan; his stepfather Marvin Holmes; his mother-in-law Mary Wyatt; his brother-in-law Earl Wyatt (Tracy); his niece Willow Brooks; and his close friends, Charlie and Candy Stroupe.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Home (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wassum Cemetery.
