It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lawrence Young (Marion, Virginia), who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Barker Young; his granddaughter Lainey Young; his parents, Lawrence Young and Lena Young; and his siblings, Jack Young (Mable), Janice Meadows and Phyllis Sheets.
He is survived by: his son Eric Young (Robin) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Emeri Young, Rowan Young and Hudson Young; and his sister Peggy Townsend of Rehoboth Beach, Del.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fraziers' Seaver-Brown Chapel (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (7614 Troutdale Hwy, Troutdale, VA 24378).
