She was predeceased by: the father of her children Billie Ray Sturgill; her husband Elder Willie Branch; her parents, Raymond Dancy and Verna Farrington Dancy; and her siblings, Carl Dancy, Quentin Dancy, Blaine Dancy, Violet Blevins and June Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Sturgill Wagner (Mark) of Wytheville, Lisa Sturgill Dobrovolc (Kevin) of Bluff City, Tenn. and Daniel Sturgill (Sabrina) of Rural Retreat; her grandchildren, Chris Brooks, Hannah Cooper, Lauren Roark, Ben Sturgill, Michael Mills and Katie Macbeth; her stepgrandchildren, Marcus, Micah and Malachi Dobrovolc; her great grandchildren, Bryson, Eli, Joanna, James, Joanie and Collin; and her nephew Don Blevins (Pat).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fraziers' Seaver-Brown Chapel (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (1284 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017).
