He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Moreland and Mary Gladys Moreland (Woodfield); and his siblings, Irma (Marine), Herbert C., Norma (Wayson) and Lorraine (Perry).
He is survived by: his brother Ronald; his wife Marion; his children, Michael Wayne Moreland of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Theresa Lee Wilkerson of Chilhowie, VA; his sons-in-law, Michael Preston Capps and Dean Francis Wilkerson; his adoptive son Vernon Herring (Tammy); his granddaughters, Kelsey Hodges (Herbert) and Hannah Stevens (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Harrison Davis Hodges, Brynn Elizabeth Hodges and Teddy Banks Stevens; and his pet Wayne.
