We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2024, at the age of 96, William Mercer of Marion, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Mercer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Frances "Penny" Mercer; and his parents, William "Bill" Mercer and Pearl Williams Mercer. He is survived by : his daughters, Debbie Peake (David) of Marion, VA and Janice Moore (Darrell) of Kingsport, TN; his grandchildren, Angela Reynolds (JR), Laura Hernandez (Lazaro), David Peake II (Meghan), Chris Moore (Megan), Matthew Moore and Mark Moore; his great grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds, Katilyn Reynolds, Hailey Reynolds and Oakleigh; his cousin Janet Atkins Stevenson; and his close friends, Bill and Edith Reynolds. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Seaver-Brown Chapel (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Rose Lawn Cemetery (4410 Lee Hwy, Marion, VA 24354).
