She is survived by: her children, Joyce A. Turner (Kevin) of Martinsville, VA, Rebecca D. Powell of Martinsville, VA, Alonzo Powell (Marilyn) of Martinsville, VA and Jerry J. Powell (Taz) of Michigan; and her brother Charles Cheek of South Boston, VA. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
