With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ann McDonald Grogan (Martinsville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Ann leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Toney McDonald and Virginia Webster McDonald; and her husband Emmett Smith Grogan. She is survived by: her sons, Stuart Grogan (Cynthia) and James "Tony" Grogan; and her grandchildren, Myles Grogan, Kayla Grogan, Brandon Souder and Taylor Bailey (Palmer).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, or Mountain Valley Hospice, in Ann's honor.
