She was predeceased by: her parents, Early Valentine and Virginia Beal Valentine; her daughter Tess Ann Ramey; and her siblings, Bonnie Portia Jordan, Calvin Valentine, Earl Valentine, Lawrence Valentine and Marvin Valentine.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Scales and Freddie Beal; her siblings, Betty Mosley, Barbara Abrams, Janice Hairston, Priscilla Moore, Deborah Marshall, Sharon Valentine, Timothy Valentine and Leon Valentine; and her grandchildren, Veronica Ramey, Darryl Ramey, India Taylor and Breaudrea Scales. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
