She was predeceased by: her mother Estelle Royal; her husband Carl Henry Johnson; her grandparents, Hillie and Jack Royal; and her aunts and uncles, Nora Hines, Pearl, Martha Hairston, Johnnie, Joe and William Royal.
She is survived by: her children, Marguerite Johnson Swann (Eric), Carla Johnson and John Johnson (Michaela); her grandchildren, Kevin, Jourdan Wilson, Kiah, Brendan, Juliana, Maia and Ephraim Johnson; her aunt Nannie Miller; her nieces, Tracy Hines and Sabrina of Delaware; and her cousins, Jessie Allen and Brenda Schmidt. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her name to the American Legion Homer Dillard Post 78 (PO Box 342, Martinsville VA 24114) or the National Kidney Foundation.
