He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Clifton Poindexter; his stepchildren, Nova Lee Coleman and Gregory Lawson (Kristen); his stepgrandchild Thomas Coleman; his nieces, Cindy Hill (Scott) and Becky Collier (Chris); his great-nieces, Ashton, Katie Ryan, Eliza and Maggie; and his great-nephew Cooper.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
