It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Wray McGhee (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Wray and Elizabeth Gilley Wray; her husband James Stanley McGhee; and her siblings, Mary Myers and Junior Wray.

She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly McGhee; and her sisters, Marie Toler, Wanda Hankins and Darnell Scruggs. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donation be made to the American Cancer Society in Dorothy's honor.
