She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Henry Simpkins and Verdie Ada Ellis Simpkins; her husband Paul Edward Hess; her son Mark Allan Hess; and her siblings, Belle Jane Simpkins White, Patricia Simpkins, Kenneth "Kenny" Simpkins, Dempsey Simpkins, Buddy Simpkins, Larry Simpkins and Troy Simpkins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Kaye Hess Prillaman (Barry) and Margaret Ann Hess; and her brother Albert Henry Simpkins.
