He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Minter and Mamie Ann Duffy Minter; his brothers, Donnie Minter and Kenny Minter; and his brother-in-law Mike Gillenwaters.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gillenwaters Minter; his brother Michael "Mike" Minter (Gail); and his sisters-in-law, Jeannie Minter, Pat Minter, Ruby Gilbert Byrd (Roy Nichols), Kathy Gauldin (Randolph) and Brenda Gillenwaters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
