She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Martin and Ora Setliff Martin; her husband Donald W. Walker; her son Alex B. Walker; her siblings, Algie Hall, Eulalah Koger, Naalma Hylton, Louise Burch, Dorothy Martin, Elaine Lemons, Lawrence, Lonnie and Glen Martin; and her sister-in-law Edith Slaughter Maxwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Bowling (Fred) of Martinsville and Donna Carter (Robert) of Halifax, VA; and her brother-in-law William Lemons of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
