He was predeceased by: his father Theodore McGhee; his wife Mary Donahue McGhee; his siblings, Evelyn Beckett, Helen Allen, T. R. McGhee, Cecil McGhee and Kenneth McGhee; and his stepdaughter Barbara Harmon.
He is survived by: his son Cecil Lee McGhee; his stepchildren, Linda Logan, Bobby Lee Torrence and Jackie Torrence; his sisters, Kay Wade (Jimmy) and Elizabeth Tatum; and his grandchildren, Derrek McGhee, Anissa Rose McGhee and Christopher Nance. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
