Matherly and Bessie Hodges Matherly; her husband Glenn Morris; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Younce, Lewhy Matherly, Posey "Dot" Matherly of George Thomas, Robert Lee Matherly, Fairy Shively, Joan "Joann" Carter, Virgina Foley, James Irvin "Jimmy" Matherly and Dustin West.
She is survived by: her daughter Robin McBride (Mark); her grandchildren, Mark "Steven" McBride, Jr. (Tanya) and Ashley Lane McBride-West; her great grandchildren, Alaina MacKenzie McBride (West), Kaylin MaKenna West and Connor Grey West; her stepgreat-grandson Liam Davis; and her sisters, Irene Nelson and Betty Jane East. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery (107 Cemetery St, Martinsville, VA 24112).
