He is survived by: his children, Elaine Smith Cumbia and Carl Marino Smith (Gail Chitwood Smith); his grandsons, Dwight David Smith (Nancy Quezada Smith) and O. Douglas "Chip" Cumbia III; and his great grandchildren, David Murphy Smith and Daniel Marino Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
