She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Thore and Pearlie Louise Hutchin Thore; her husband Bobby Lee Carter; her grandchildren, Robby Lee Carter and Kristen Leigh Mills; and her close friend Wayne "Fuzzy" Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Tracy Lee Carter (Tammy Clark) and Janet Mills (Patrick); her grandchildren, Bobby Lee Carter and Sierra Mills Martin (Ethan); her great grandchildren, Gavin Carter and Brayden Martin; and her sisters, Patsy Gauldin Mann and Jean Hairfield (Mike). She is also survived by her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
