Phyllis B. Sheppard Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis B. Sheppard of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Jones and Frances Viar Jones; her husband Akers Eugene Sheppard; her son Darrel Scott Blackwell; and her sisters, Patsy Rozyski, Dixie Payne, Sandra Holthausen and Brenda Bryson.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Kay Carter (Shane); her grandsons, Zachary Lowery and Brandon Shively; her brother Grover Anthony "Smokey" Jones (Jeanette); her extended family, Demeteris, Leidre Childress, Tony and Gail Hancock; Kyle. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055).
