It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Ervin Harrison of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Harrison and Bertha Lingafelt Harrison; his wife Myrta Beck Harrison; and his siblings, Maggie Bumgarner, Mary Warlick, Lucille Walker, Edna Oterri, Sue Harvey, Charles Harrison, Bill Harrison and Manley Harrison.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy McGee, Rhonda Gregory (Randy) and Barry Harrison; his grandchildren, Jessica Cole (D. J.), Ciji Lankford (Terry), Taylor Bayliss (Brent) and Brooke Alverson (Jay); his great grandchildren, Addison Cole, Austin Cole, Zachary Lankford, Mackenzie Lankford, Caleb Lankford, Raelyn Bayliss, Colton Alverson and Sadie Alverson; his great great grandchild Iris Low; and his granddaughter Olga Kaniukina.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115).
