She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Lester Ashby and Georgia May Martin Ashby; and her brother Joseph Carol Ashby. She is survived by: her husband Billy Edwin McBride; her children, Kimberly Young (Robert), Anissa McGuire (Robert), William McBride (Ginger) and Larry McBride (Sandra); her brothers, Jimmy Lester Ashby (Frances) and Jerry Hylton Ashby (Gloria); her grandchildren, Eric McBride (Amanda), Chris Lackey, Brent Giffin (Jessica), Damian Giffin (Chasity) and Kevin Lackey; her great grandchildren, Ezra Giffin, Hailey McBride, Piper McBride, Gage Giffin, Olivia Giffin and Jaxxon McBride; and her stepgrandsons, Jeremiah Giffin and James Giffin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
