She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Mauney and Bessie Joyner Mauney; and her husband Clarence Presley Benfield, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Benfield Taylor, Elizabeth Benfield Ritchy (Alexy Ritchy) and James Linwood Benfield (Lin); her grandchildren, Will Taylor (Lori), Matt Taylor (Beth), Kathryn Bearman (Ross), Philip Ritchy and Sarah Ritchy; and her great grandchildren, Miles Taylor, Josie Taylor, Evie Bearman, Bailey Bearman and Penny Bearman.
