She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Burgess and Rhoda Gillespie Burgess; and her husband Joseph David "JD" Parker, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory (Shirley Parker), Joseph (Joyce Parker) and Thomas "Zack" (Karen Parker); her siblings, Curtis Burgess and Lois Tuggle; and her grandchildren, Joshua "Josh", Ashley, Lukas, Sophia and Emma. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
