He was predeceased by: his father Lee Alfred Varney. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Pricey Deskins; his children, Heather Hagler Snyder (Jason), Lee Alfred Varney (Jacqui) and Cynthia Robertson; his siblings, Cheryl Ann Doughtie (William), Rhonda Lynn Varney, Crystal Jean Cole, Robert Salton Varney and James Shelby Cole; his grandchildren, Julianna Hagler, Desmond Snyder, Skyler Varney, Gryphon Varney and Claire Varney; and his siblings' children, Bobbi Leigh Doughtie and William Thomas Doughtie (Emma).
