He was predeceased by: his parents, Mallie Ray and Mary Patterson Ray; and his siblings, Nancy Sumner, Roger Ray and Bennie Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Cassell Ray; his son Justin Ray; his brothers, Don Ray, Bill Ray (Betty Jo), Brian Wiggington (Pat), Andy Wiggington (Laurie), Marty Wiggington and Blaine Craig (Ellie); his sister-in-law Shirley Ray (Mary Cannaday); and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
