With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Kenneth Garrett (Mathews, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 13, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Garrett and Lois Garrett; his brother Dale Garrett; and his grandparents, Charlie Hill and Mabel Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Garrett; his siblings, Susan Hillard (Mitchell) and Steve Garrett; his sister-in-law Vicki Garrett; his stepdaughters, Elizabeth Collins and Miriam Frost (Lars); his grandchildren, Shannon Craven (Matthew), Aaron James, Savannah Collins, Ethan Frost and Lydia Frost; his nephews, Mitch Hilliard, Curtis Hilliard (Tiffany), Gage Garrett (Clara) and Matthew Garrett (Renee); and his niece Sheree Celestino (Ryan).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Virginia 23109, so they may continue his legacy of service. Donations may also be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 628, North, Virginia 23128.
