He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles A. Mayer and Jeanette Mayer; his daughter Karen Guffey; his sister Jeanne Patterson; and his sons-in-law, Larry Guffey and Bobby Fields.
He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Mayer; his children, Cheryl Nowell (Bill), Brenda McLain (Craig), Rosemary Fields, Charles Mayer, Jr. and Thom Mayer; his brother Bob Mayer (Ruth); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Chase, Kristie, Dustin, William "Bill", Amber, Lindsey, Barbara, Heidi and Heather. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
