He was predeceased by: his mother Sue Davis Kilmon; and his sibling's children, Kristen Parsons and Brian White. He is survived by: his wife Iris Shih Kilmon; his father Alton "Butch" Kilmon; his sisters, Robin Kilmon Southall (Keith) and Beth Kilmon Wyatt (Johnathan); his siblings' children, Honor Latta, Sarah White, Rebecca Wyatt and Julian Wyatt; and his great-nephews, Brandon, Blake, Bryan and Bryce Latta. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Virginia Patriot Guard (VirginiaPatriotGuard.org) or the Gary Sinise Foundation (GarySiniseFoundation.org), both of which aid veterans and their families.
