With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iva T. Belvin of Mathews, Virginia, who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Iva may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Thomas and Maude Thomas of Peary; her husband Warren H. Belvin; her siblings, Miriam Callis, Jeneill Rowe and Aubrey Thomas; and her nephews, Melvin and Keith Callis.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hogg Funeral Home (3098 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Hayes, VA 23072). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Gloucester Point Cemetery (1860 Hayes Rd, Gloucester Point, VA 23062).

In memory of Iva, memorial contributions may be made to Locust Grove Church at 1832 Windsor Road, Dutton, VA 23050, or to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice at 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061.
