He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Edwards Dixon and Jacqueline Faulkner Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Virginia McDaniel; his brother G. Gordon Dixon (Meg); his nephew John Thomas Dixon; and his stepchildren, Warren and Jennifer McDaniel.
