She was predeceased by: her parents, William Irving and Miriam Fernald Bodurtha; her husband Cabell Drew Higginbotham; her son Steven Drew Higginbotham; and her sister-in-law Rebecca Nelson Bodurtha.
She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Higginbotham Dutton (Eddie); her daughter-in-law Tracy Sullivan; her grandchildren, Brandy Hurst (Eric), Brooke Higginbotham (Carlos), Haden Higginbotham, Haley Sullivan and Jon Jenkins; her great grandchildren, Chance Higginbotham, Jayden Webb, Maverick, Lincoln, Leighton and Parker Hurst; her siblings, William "Billy" I. Bodurtha and Cathy Bodurtha Rowe (David); and her brother-in-law Upton "Punky" Higginbotham (Judy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home (160 Main St, Mathews, VA 23109). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at the H. C. Smither Memorial Cemetery.
