He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Forrest Edwards; his daughter Lisa Edwards Gayle (Joe); his granddaughters, Ashley Gayle Stuhr (Johnny) and Amanda Gayle Kerins (JP); his great grandchildren, Abigayle Stuhr, Atticus Stuhr, Julian Kerins and Jack Kerins; and his sister-in-law Lydia Forrest Wetterling.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gwynn's Island Church of the Nazarene (1009 Cricket Hill Rd, Hudgins, VA 23076).
